Since november, I made : - Replace brake pipe (hole under pedals) - Replace rear brake wheel cylinder - Replace spark plug wires - Replace rear exhaust Future operations : - Polish - New aluminium wheels in 13" (ATS... but surprise) there are not Classic or Cup... - Find " GOLF" or " GOLF S" dash emblem (genuine)

Can you do me a favor and take another picture of the hatch lift? I'd like to know how it attaches onto the hatch itself (where the metal spring is). Thanks!

Thank you for the badge but it's very expensive ? No ? But it's rare. I drive a swallowtail now For another pictures of the hatch lift, it's OK, but in a few days.

In "english" ... I am telling Olivier that on my Swallow (sept 74) which is a "De Luxe" version, the rear hatch is maintained opened via a gas strut and that on my 76 which is a "standard", it is a a metal stick like on his 75. It looks to me that some equipments had been installed earlier on the GL/GLS Mk1s ! Another "strange" thing : on the 1100 Swallow engine, there is an expansion water tank, on my 1100 from 76 and 77 like on my GTis (77/78), there is no water tank ! The radiator has a filling cap ... ?! My 1976 1100 (std) has a front "Swallow" type front bonnet and rear "red" lights ! Original equipment ? Fun to discover a new thing everyday on these VWs !!! Harald
