new here and have some Q's

Hello all just got back into the vw scene and happend across a 76 swallowtail...Didnt know it was rare till lately and was wondering some things bout em....

How many were produced in the 3 years (i think) that they were made

And how "rare" are they in actuality cause i got mine (rusted as it may be) and then i happen to stumble upon 2 74's an a 75 at the local vw guro's yard.

the one 74 is a rust free car and im not sure if it has an engine but what would it be worth... the others are either dented or gutted...

Where are you from? 1974 Rabbits did not exist in the US. The 1976 Swallowtails are fairly uncommon. Only the first few had it.

If you are in the US let us know. I'm sure we could all use some spare parts.

I am in the US and i was (told)they were 74's so i had to rely on his word.....

havent been back out there since i found out how to read the vins....will try to get out there pretty soon
