Hi I have an 75' Golf S and I'm thinking of upgrading to rear disc brakes. I have looked under my car and I see that it has a brake proportion valve Will this work with disc brakes? I'm fairly new to the mk1 scene, I was more of a Mk2 guy before I saw the light

I'm afraid you are going to have to update that proportion valve to the later style prop. valve that screws into the master cylinder.
I don't know what variations of VW's you have where you are but typically we (US) use the proportion valves from a 16V Scirocco as well as the 22mm master cylinder, booster, pedal cluster, and rear calipers. I have yet to try to see if this stuff bolts up to the early Rabbit's yet. I'm afraid the pedal cluster holes may be different.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

The Scirocco stuff fit my 75, but I had to clearance the hole where the clutch cables runs through the firewall ever so slightly.
