Here is mine heading home. And yes I tow just about anything with the Coupe. Including bringing home a Fox Wagon from 300 miles away. Even got 28 mpg while towing the Fox.

And here she is, off of the tow dolly and shedding rust in the driveway.

Good to see you got it home. LOL, you ought to weigh all the crap you pull out of it when you clean it out. Trunk treasures time!

Oh, and I actually had rat turds in the headliner, In the Headliner! As you can see from the 1/4 window shot, I have started a little work. Mostly to seal the car up a little as the window seals are shot. I will have to replace the floor, I will cut it out of a 84 donor car. And I think that media blasting will be a must. This is going to be a LONG term restoration.

Oh yeah, something else that I noticed on this car. The Dash Vents are connected to the firewall, instead of plastic tubes that run to the heater box. Does anyone know when that stopped? Is that a Swallowtail only thing? Might be useful info, just incase someone changes a hood and rear light section to make a fake Swallowtail.

The firewall vents are an oddity. Most of the Swallowtails I've seen that had those were from the deluxe models. No idea how that correlates but seems to be the norm. I don't think I've seen any '76 Swallowtails with them.
Your floor looks about what mine did. I cut a complete section out of a '77 and had it hot tanked. Lots of work but I know I'll never have to worry about rust on the floors.
Word of caution on the media blasting. I took my '75 to a reputable shop and they still managed to warp some of my panels. If I had to do it all over again I'd get it soda blasted.
Good to see progress!

I have been thinking about getting a soda blaster. This just might be the reason. Question though: Will the soda take care of the rust, or just the paint?

I talked to a guy that runs a hotrod shop here. He said that the soda blaster will only work for light surface rust. It's mainly used for paint removal only.
You may have to do both depending on the area.

That is what I thought. Eastwood doesn't have much info on the effectivness against rust. Just one more problem to solve before I start on her. Thanks for the assistance though!
