Finally got my '74 Golf L in roadworthy condition for Ultimate Dubs. Work completed so far: 1. Treat rust to rear panel and rear arch 2. Strip, clean and rebuild carb with new pumps, needle valve, jets and gaskets. 3. Fit new water pump. Flush coolant system (about 20 times!). Fix leak from inlet manifold. 4. Replace timing belt. 5. Replace coolant and fuel gauges. 6. Replace heater valve bowden cable 7. Replace bonnet release cable. 8. Fit front spoiler. I then added some finishing touches by making use of some of the parts I had gathering dust: Wolfsburg crested mudflaps and hub covers, early Scirocco/Passat steering wheel and Autoplas rear and side window louvres. Being a '74 build there are some interesting features that distinguish it from later models: - Front drum bakes - Metal rear badges, with VW on the right and model name on the left - Non-halogen headlamps with early protective covers - Remote air filter location - Parcel shelf with “X” form on the underside - Aluminium kick plates - Low back seats with spring and horse hair construction, lever adjustment of backrest - Cover plates for tailgate hinges - Early gearshift linkage - Location of upper fixings for rear lights Colour is Lofoten Green (L61H), interior is Nut Brown. FA 1093cc engine running sweetly and made it to the show and back with no problems. Pics taken the day before

très belle golf ancienne.. je trouve cependant que le volant et la console de scirocco ne lui apporte rien de plus....
