Hey just stumbled upon this site, and since I have a "new" swallowtail being added to the family. Thought I should take some time and introduce myself and the car (Project Lorax).So my girlfriend wanted a 4 door bunny I started my search. Came up with this lovely 1976 4 door in Ohio.
So we have had it about a month and Ive been trying to manage time between it and my car (83 Rabbit LS Custom). Ive gotten most of the car stripped down. This is pretty much the progress so far.
And I know this may upset some, but the car is being built for my girlfriend to drive daily. Thus the 1.6l 4 speed set is out. I will be sprucing up the engine bay but the rest of the car will stay stock aside from the ride height. As I would like to preserve this car as much as possible but need some power for her to drive it on the mess that we call the Long Island parkway system. So with that said the car will be receiving this.
Well I will try to keep you updated on how it goes. Hope to hear some of your input as-well.
